Seraphina

    New journal

    Friday, May 4, 2007, 08:14 AM [General]

For those of you who had visited reine_des_epees over at GJ, you know that I've made a new account.  I'm seraphina_prime at GJ, now, much like I'm seraphina_prime over at LJ.

I like this idea and concept, but I'm still learning how to best use this space as a tool; and well, some days, LJ and GJ are easier for me to use.  It seems easier to begin a threaded conversation and follow it there, and I'm comfortable with that.

Writing is progressing well, though.  I've discovered that trying to write and edit at the same time (although on different works) is a challenge, and am balancing that.  I've gotten three chapters in a first draft bleeding red ink and notes galore on rewrite and restructure ideas - so tonight and tomorrow I'll be focusing on writing.  3k is my goal for the weekend.

If you're interested in the madness of the writing life, feel free to drop by The Blood Rose.  That's my writing journal.

    Humour

    Thursday, February 8, 2007, 06:52 PM [General]

As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door. The trucker lowers the window, and she says "Hi, my name is Heather, and you're losing some of your load." The trucker ignores her and proceeds down the street. When the truck stops for another red light, the girl catches up again. She jumps out of her car, runs up and knocks on the door. Again, the trucker lowers the window. As if they've never spoken, the blonde says brightly "Hi, my name is Heather, and you're losing some of your load!" Shaking his head, the trucker ignores her again and continues down the street. At the third red light, the same thing happens again. All out of breath, the blonde gets out of her car, runs up, and knocks on the truck door. The trucker rolls down the window. Again she says "Hi, my name is Heather, and you're losing some of your load!" When the light turns green, the trucker revs up and races to the next light. When he stops this time, he hurriedly gets out of the truck and runs back to the blonde. He knocks on her window, and after she lowers it, he says "Hi, my name is Kevin. It's winter in Minnesota, and I'm driving the SALT TRUCK!"

    Learning Curve

    Saturday, February 3, 2007, 11:55 AM [General]

Yes, there will be a learning curve in learning how to use this site.  However, that's alright too, and I will still be keeping Reine des Epees up-to-date.

Thank you, Nya, for the lovely compliment that you left me :)  I treasure your presence in my life daily, as well.  It is one strong and loving acknowledgement that the Creator is present and cares for the tending of our souls.

Now, to figure out how to reply to comments - although I'm sure all I need to do is ask Tristan, listen to him laugh at me for being so technilogically unsavvy, and then learn how to comment to comments.

    Blessings on the day

    Friday, February 2, 2007, 11:09 AM [General]

This is the season of Awakening and Transformation.

I welcome you, Dana, Great Primal Mother whose Body is our Earth, whose Blood is the Seas, and whose Soul is the bright vastness of Heaven itself.

I welcome you, Dana, who has come to us clothed as the thrice-blessed Brighid. Protector, Healer, and Inspirer of our souls.

I welcome you, Dana, to this place which I have prepared for you in my heart.

    Be it thus.
